How to Use

What is Sake Lees?
Sake lees is a byproduct of sake brewing, and has been traditionally handled by the chief brewer, called “touji”. It is famous for its beauty effects, and it is said that the hands of sake craftsmen are beautiful due to the use of sake lees. Sake lees is the solid matter that remains after sake is squeezed from moromi, which is made by fermenting rice and rice malt soaked in water. It is rich in arbutin and free linoleic acid, making it suitable for both consumption and application on the skin.
